Merry Christmas

1a

Just wanted to share a few pictures of my home for the holidays. Life kinda got in the way this year and I didn’t get to decorate as much as I wanted, but am happy with how everything turned out. I stayed pretty simple, but elegant. Here is a picture of my bedroom with some simple evergreen and a few of those little flower ornaments I was talking to you all about earlier.

A simple tree that I added to a weathered urn. Added a bit of torn linen and one of those fabric scrip ornaments that I chased all over town for. I added a few of my vintage rhinestone brooches to the tree for a bit of sparkle.

3a I carried the same style over to the livingroom. Some evergreen, a few rhinestone here and there and a few of my paper mache trees I made last year.

4a I am in love with these spools of ribbon I found at Marshalls this year. I couldn’t help myself this year. I normally only buy handmade ornaments and pretties or make them myself, but there were really some pretty pieces this year.

6a I had to put up those little flowers everywhere I could.

Here is the table that I have been working on. Still a work in progress, but have been having fun experimenting with the chalk paint® by Annie Sloan. I will go into more details later on the colors I used. I know I am going to be quite hooked and can’t wait until after the holidays when I have more time to play with the this.

This grey piece came from the Maxwell House hotel in Nashville, TN. from way back when. It is the top portion to the writing desk that’s in my bedroom. I found it off of craigslist from an older couple just a bit north of here. It was a medium colored wood, but just had to add a grey wash to it.  10a I found these charming little burlap and linen stockings that I am going to add some vintage rhinestones to.

13a I am just so excited for Christmas this year. Me and my kids drove over to the other coast over the weekend to surprise my mom. That truly was one of the best Christmas presents for all of us. I’ve been trying to slow down a bit this year so I can enjoy all the little things the holidays has to bring. Hoping you are able to do the same. Well hoping you enjoyed a little peek into my home. I look forward to sharing more with you soon.

I am wishing you all a Christmas filled with love and laughter. Hoping you are able to spend the day with the ones you love, if not, take the time to yourself and enjoy.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

Merry Christmas Tammy to you and your family. So glad you had the opportunity to spend it with your mom as well. Spending time with family really is a Christmas present in itself. Love what you did with your Christmas decor. It feels very natural and organic. Your home looks so beautiful, toasty and warm:)
