Getting The Vintage Look For Less

Getting the vintage look on hometalk with cloth and patinaWow, I can’t believe it’s November already and the holidays will be here in no time! This is absolutely my favorite time of year and am so looking forward to decorating for Fall and Christmas. With the holidays comes lots of family and friends in and out, which means it’s the perfect time to spruce up your home. We all want our guests to feel welcome and want our homes to be a little extra pretty this time of year, right?. (Who doesn’t want to make a lasting impression ?)

I just put together a board over at Hometalk, “Getting The Vintage Look For Less”. A collection of some simple and inexpensive ways to add a bit of vintage flair to your home or space. Are you all familiar with Hometalk? It’s basically a Pinterest site for all things home & garden filled with many many amazing DIY projects! You can share your own projects as well and ask questions in the Hometalk Community. I am relatively new to Hometalk, but am already hooked and can’t wait to fill my site with many wonderful projects. Hop on over, have a look around and would love for you to follow along with me at Cloth and Patina on Hometalk.

Well that’s it for now. Stop back in soon! I’ll be posting a mini Autumn Home Tour later this week. Until then, wishing you a beautiful day!

Segreto Style…New Inspiration

I am so happy to be featuring Leslie Sinclair’s new book…”Segreto Style”

Leslie is the creator and owner behind Segreto Finishes, the Houston based company that specializes in custom paint finishes for walls, cabinetry, floors and furniture. Leslie’s first book, “Segreto Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors,” was launched just a few years ago and has been an absolute favorite of mine. I’ve browsed this book many many times for inspiration.

Island Bohemian Summer Decor

Welcome to my home! For those of you who don’t know me, I love a soft neutral color palette, weathered woods and a bit of sparkle. I truly believe that our homes or at least one special area should be our own sanctuary. A comfortable place where we can escape and unwind, even if it’s just for a little while. I try to always create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with a bit of elegance { a girl’s gotta have a little sparkle in her life} My soft weathered palette puts me at peace and helps me unwind. Kick off your shoes, grab your favorite drink, and relax if just for a bit.  Continue reading

Soft Fresh Spring

springa

Spring finally made its way into my home. The pressure of everyone coming over for Easter put a fire under me to finish up all the little details. I figured I would share bits and pieces of the house in stages and today I wanted to share the entry table. As always, I like to keep things simple and light. This year I brought in more earthy elements with bits of twigs and moss. Continue reading
