Just a quick post today. I have been on a mission to get my studio space organized so I can get out there and work a bit. Continue reading
Spring finally made its way into my home. The pressure of everyone coming over for Easter put a fire under me to finish up all the little details. I figured I would share bits and pieces of the house in stages and today I wanted to share the entry table. As always, I like to keep things simple and light. This year I brought in more earthy elements with bits of twigs and moss. Continue reading
Oh happy day! The weather has been just beautiful lately and I have felt so inspired to create different pieces for Spring. You all have been so amazingly supportive in so many ways and I just wanted to give a little something back. I am forever grateful for your continued support, kindness and inspiration. This is a little collection that I put together for a charity event with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and wanted to share with you all. I truly enjoyed creating it and it is for such a good cause. The funnest part of all is I got to pull out my favorite chalk paint® color “French Linen”. Continue reading
So I have been obsessing over wood flatware for years but was never able to find any that I really liked so put it on the back burner for a long time until now. Continue reading
I have always loved the beauty of exposed brick in pretty much every room and have been obsessing over it so much lately that I thought I should do a post on a few gorgeous spaces. I mean look at this most gorgeous bathroom. I always wonder if I would be able to paint over exposed brick, but have to say it was the right choice here. This white bathroom is serene and elegant. Well I have been wanting to do a giveaway for a really long time, but am actually glad I waited til now. I was trying to think of what would make me happiest to create for you and decided to create a “dreamcatcher” just for this. Now couldn’t be a better time with the New Year just around the corner. Just wanted to share a few pictures of my home for the holidays. Life kinda got in the way this year and I didn’t get to decorate as much as I wanted, but am happy with how everything turned out. I stayed pretty simple, but elegant. Here is a picture of my bedroom with some simple evergreen and a few of those little flower ornaments I was talking to you all about earlier.
A simple tree that I added to a weathered urn. Added a bit of torn linen and one of those fabric scrip ornaments that I chased all over town for. I added a few of my vintage rhinestone brooches to the tree for a bit of sparkle.
I am in love with these spools of ribbon I found at Marshalls this year. I couldn’t help myself this year. I normally only buy handmade ornaments and pretties or make them myself, but there were really some pretty pieces this year.
Here is the table that I have been working on. Still a work in progress, but have been having fun experimenting with the chalk paint® by Annie Sloan. I will go into more details later on the colors I used. I know I am going to be quite hooked and can’t wait until after the holidays when I have more time to play with the this.
This grey piece came from the Maxwell House hotel in Nashville, TN. from way back when. It is the top portion to the writing desk that’s in my bedroom. I found it off of craigslist from an older couple just a bit north of here. It was a medium colored wood, but just had to add a grey wash to it. I found these charming little burlap and linen stockings that I am going to add some vintage rhinestones to.
I am just so excited for Christmas this year. Me and my kids drove over to the other coast over the weekend to surprise my mom. That truly was one of the best Christmas presents for all of us. I’ve been trying to slow down a bit this year so I can enjoy all the little things the holidays has to bring. Hoping you are able to do the same. Well hoping you enjoyed a little peek into my home. I look forward to sharing more with you soon.
I am wishing you all a Christmas filled with love and laughter. Hoping you are able to spend the day with the ones you love, if not, take the time to yourself and enjoy.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

Look what was waiting for me today when I got home! I feel like the only one I know who hasn’t been painting with Chalk Paint® decorative paint by Annie Sloan. Either way I am happy to be on board and cannot wait to start painting! Continue reading
